For analysis of 802.11 wireless network transmitter characteristics, 3280 series 3-, 13.2-, and 26.5-GHz spectrum analyzers offer digital demodulation. Two demod modes are provided: full-frequency and dual-channel.
Full-frequency mode links the rear panel 421.4-MHz IF output to the demod input for demodulating signals over the analyzer’s full bandwidth. Dual-channel mode links from the front panel directly (or the rear panel via connector) to create a dual-channel instrument with demod range of 0.3 to 3 GHz.
