Spread-spectrum oscillator features industry’s lowest power
Housed in one of the smallest available packages at 2.5 x 2.0 mm, the SiT9003 is also offered as the industry’s lowest-power programmable spread-spectrum oscillator — consuming less than 3.5 mA typ, which is less than one-third the power of comparable quartz-based solutions. The part also reduces electromagnetic emissions by up to 12 dB and features a startup time of less than 3 ms and a cycle-to-cycle jitter of less than 30 ps.
The device can be programmed for frequencies between 1 and 110 MHz and operating voltages of 1.8, 2.5, 2.8, or 3.3 V, as well as down-spread and center-spread configurability. Consuming less than 10 μA in standby, the oscillator is also available in 3.2 x 2.5-, 5.0 x 3.2-, and 7.0 x 5.0-mm packages. ($1.54 ea/10,000 — available now.)
