SSD processor targets cloud computing apps

The SF-2481 SSD processor is optimized for cloud computing applications using high endurance MLC flash with nearly twice the normal error correction strength. It also adds outstanding predictive failure analysis capabilities including a new media health test to ensure reliability.

The SATA 6 Gbit/sec processor used DuraWrite technology for high balanced performance, low write amplification, and efficient garbage collection with

read and write speeds of up to 500 Mbytes/sec and up to 60,000 I/Os/s. The chips automatic double AES encryption is equal to 300-bit protection and it’s enterprise-level SMART attributes enables predictive failure analysis. It supports the latest MLC flash memory with Toggle/ONFi2 interfaces. (Price not given – production January.)
