The Optimus solid-state drive (SSD) targets enterprise storage applications and features a native Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) 6-Gbit/s interface and up to 1.6-Tbyte usable capacity. The 2.5-in. drive is said to be the industry’s highest-capacity and fastest SAS multilevel cell (MLC) device.
Available in 200-Gbyte, 400-Gbyte, 800-Gbyte, and 1.6-Tbyte usable capacities, the unit features read/write speeds of 100K/50K random IOPS and 500/500-Mbyte/s sustained transfer rates.
