SSDDs come in 32 to 256-Gbyte capacities

The UltraDrive ME and LE solid-state disk drives come in 32 to 256-Gbyte capacities and a 2.5-in. form factor. The drives feature sequential read IOPS of over 13,000, sequential write IOPS of nearly 16,000, random read IOPS of nearly 7,500 and random write IOPS of nearly 6,000.

The units have a SATA-II interface and are compatible with Windows and Linux. UltraDrive LE units claim a maximum sequential read speed of 230 Mbytes/s, while the ME 200 claim Mbytes/s. (128-Gbyte UltraDrive ME, $400 MSRP — available now.)
