Littelfuse, Inc.’s new SRP1 solid-state relay (SSR) family addresses demand for reliable and durable switching components in industrial and commercial machinery applications. The company claims that these industrial SSRs deliver unparalleled reliability, enhanced durability and prolonged operational lifespan in challenging environments. Applications include industrial automation, HVAC and food and beverage appliances.
Conventional relays often suffer mechanical failures after prolonged use, which led Littelfuse to design a new SSR family for greater reliability and longer life. A key feature of the SRP1 SSRs is the proprietary enhanced power component engineered to deliver optimal performance even under strenuous conditions. By resisting heat degradation, the power component reduces the likelihood of failure, minimizes downtime and improves productivity in machinery and applications, Littelfuse said.
Offering ratings from 10 A to 90 A at low or high voltage and the flexibility of AC or DC control, the series addresses a wide array of power requirements. Zero voltage and instantaneous turn-on options provide precise control, enhancing efficiency and compatibility. Other features include an extended service life of up to 750K life stress cycles even in demanding applications, compared to 350K life stress cycles for basic SRP1 relays, and IP20 finger-safe protection and overvoltage protection for secure installation.
The SRP1 SSRs are available in individual boxes and in five configurations. The SRP1-CR is an all-in-one SSR with touch-safe and overvoltage protection; SRP1-CB is a basic SSR for design flexibility; SRP1-CB…F features quick-connect terminals for fast installation; SRP1-CE is a basic SSR for simple heating applications; and SRP1-CC addresses DC voltage load applications. All relays are compliant with international standards.
