At $329, the four-channel USB-5104 thermocouple datalogger is an accurate (to ± 0.6°C, depending on thermocouple) and affordable solution for stand-alone thermocouple measurements. The battery-powered logger records J, K, T, E, R, S, B, or N type thermocouple outputs and can store up to 1.9 million measurements.
The instrument has an LCD display as well as high and low alarms and a burst logging mode, allowing it to vary sampling intervals based on changing temperature conditions. Logging duration is dependent upon the selected logging interval (from 1 s to over 18 hr) and mode (normal, burst, or statistics). Set up is accomplished with the included software and a USB connection to a PC or Mac, and data can be saved to a variety of formats, including .csv for spreadsheets. Start, stop, and restart pushbuttons make taking data easy and straightforward.
