Steering diode array is optimized for ESD, EFT

The CDNBS08-SR112 steering diode array provides up to six lines of protection using the rail to rail clamping technique. The lead-free device targets ESD, EFT and surge protection needs and is RoHS compliant. It is available in an NSOIC-8 package, and can be mounted onto an FR4 printed circuit board. Applications for the array include Ethernet ports, portable electronics, wireless LANs, and USB interface-based systems.

The steering diode array meets IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) and IEC 61000-4-5 (surge) requirements for external ports and features 5–pF capacitance to minimize electrical distortion. It has a typical forward voltage of 1.3 V at 50 mA and a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 20 V. (From $0.90 to $0.95 ea/10,000 — available now.)
