The LV8702V two channel stepper motor driver IC is said to deliver significantly improved efficiency versus existing products and also reduces heat, vibration, and noise. Maximum output is 2.5 A continuous and high side Ron is 0.30 Ω, low side 0.25 Ω.
The device operates on 9 to 32 V and, with it’s increased efficiency, the surface temperature of the driver IC and the motor may be decreased by up to 46ºC and 28ºC respectively. Standby current consumption is typically 110 µA. (Approximately $6.00 ea/2,000 – available now.)
