Stereo ADC offers low pin-count

Housed in a SOIC-8 package, the WM8783 stereo A/D converter is designed to offer high-quality line input audio performance in recordable-media applications, including LCD TVs, set-top boxes, and DVD recorders. It is an easily integrated simple plug-and-play device requiring a single 3.3-V supply and only two decoupling capacitors.

Stereo ADC offers low pin-count

Based on a multibit sigma-delta ADC architecture, the part achieves an SNR of 95 dB SNR, a THD of –83 dB, and supporting sample rates from 8 to 96 kHz. The WM8783 also has on-chip regulators, accepts analog inputs up to 1 Vrms and provides an integrated high-pass filter to remove dc offset and suppress low-frequency noise.
