The PS2 Series plug-in connector aims to simplify assembly, installation, and maintenance of storage batteries by eliminating the need for disconnecting and reconnecting wires to the battery module, thereby saving time. Its plug-and-play design also eliminates on-site cable wiring, thereby reducing worker exposure to electrical lines. The first-mate / last-break contact design provides sequential power and signal mating.
Power contacts support up to 300 A and signal contacts up to 5 A. The power contacts’ use of multiple contact springs with a crown shape decreases contact resistance and heat generation to achieve a higher current-carrying capability. This design also ensures secure contact under vibration endured in harsh environments. Floating screws absorb misalignment during mating in X and Y directions up to ±2.5 mm. Available in three versions — 100, 200, and 300 A — the RoHS-compliant connector offers up to 42 positions and an operating range of –40°C to 105°C.
