Surface-mount NTC thermistors feature -2,500 ppm/ degreesC TCR

According to their manufacturer, temperature-sensing CHPT series
surface-mount thermistors are believed to be the most accurate thermally
sensitive resistors available–less than 1% linearity deviation from -10
degrees to +130 degreesC. The first of these thermistors, the CNTC1/8, is
a cylindrical thick-film resistor rated 400 mW at 25 degreesC. It is
available in resistance values from 500 ohms to 10 k Ω, with
tolerances of 2% and a negative TCR of -2,500 ppm/ degreesC. The
cylindrical thermistor fits an industry-standard 1206 footprint for
surface-mount applications, and is compatible with all automated pick-and
place equipment. Typical applications for these resistors include
monitoring battery current in laptop computers and other portable
electronic equipment and fluid temperature monitoring, fuel-injection, and
emission-control systems in automobiles. The CNTC1/8 exhibits less than 3%
deviation from true linearity over the -40 degrees to +150 degreesC
temperature range, and less than 1% deviation from -10 degrees to +130
degreesC. The operating temperature range is -55 degrees to +150 degreesC.
