Surface-mount switches are miniature
A line of miniature surface-mount switches is available in tactile, push,
or slide formats. All of the switches are compatible with reflow soldering
and are available in tape-and-reel packaging. The tactile switches
measure 9.2 x 7.6 mm and feature a sharp detent click at either one or two
contact points. Initial force will activate the first switch, and an
increase in pressure will engage the second. The single-action switches
measure 5.5 x 4 mm and are rated at 12 Vdc, 50 mA. The contact resistance
is 100 M Ω max, and the operating force is 200 +/-50 g. The
miniature push switches measure 8.2 x 4.5 mm and are appropriate for
low-current applications. The two-circuit momentary-contact switches are
rated at 12 Vdc at 500 mA. They have a contact resistance of 60 M Ω
or less and have a travel length of 2.5 mm. The slide switches are
two-circuit slide devices. They measure 8.1 x 4 mm and are rated at 12 Vdc
at 200 mA. The contact resistance is 60 M Ω max, and the slide travel
