The SMA6F series TransZorb transient voltage suppressors (TVSs) in SlimSMA DO-221AC packages are 50% thinner than traditional devices. Offered in a very low profile of 0.95 mm, the TVSs feature a high surge capability to 600 W at 10/1,000 μs and 4 kW at 8/20 μs, plus excellent clamping capability. The TVSs are footprint compatible and offer 50% higher surge capability at 10/100 μs. Low clamping voltages of 9.2 to 31.4 V at 10/1,000 μs and 13.4 to 36.8 at 8/20 μs are 3% to 9% lower than current solutions in SMB packaging.
The series consists of 16 TVS devices with stand-off voltages from 5V to 20V. They offer a temperature range from -55 to 175C, provide ESD capability of 15 kV (air) and 8 kV (contact) in accordance to IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4, and meet the MSL Level 1 standard, per -STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260°C.
