Surge protector targets xDSL, G.fast applications

The expanded line of TISP surge protector devices designated the Model TISP4G024L1W, suits ADSL, VDSL and G.fast applications. It is designed to be placed between the xDSL line driver device and the transformer, protecting the line driver from overvoltage conditions. It features a capacitance variation of 0.02 pF to ensure minimal impact to the signal integrity of the high speed interface that the device is protecting.

The surge protector device has a surge capability of 30 A (8/20 μs) that helps developers comply with various international standards including ITU-T K.20, K.21 or K.45, Telcordia GR-1089-CORE, and YD/T for xDSL interfaces. It helps G.fast application customers implement ultra-fast data speeds so that service providers can economically extend the life of existing copper infrastructure and offer high bandwidth, low latency, broadband access.
