Switch detects headset type to ease system design

The TS3A225E audio headset detection and configuration switch IC enables universal headset support for audio applications in a single chip. By integrating the automatic detection and switching function in a single device, the device eliminates detection, leakage and click-pop issues caused by using discrete components in end-equipment, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, audio docks and home audio applications.

The part prevents audio signal distortion by offering 66% lower on-resistance (100 mΩ) for the ground switch compared to the competition. Offered in 16-pin QFN and WCSP packages, the IC provides a VDD range of 2.7 to 4.5 V. (0.32 ea/1,000 — available now)
