Switch IC selects USB 3.0 signals

The PI2USB3212 USB 3.0 mux/demux signal switch provides engineers with routing solution for Superspeed USB signals while taking only 200-µA max supply current and providing a low latency of approx. 200 ps. It enables adding an extra USB 3.0 port, or combining multiple signal standards.

The chip has a small 28-pin 3.5 x 5.5 mm package. It features a 6-ps bit-to-bit skew, insertion loss of –2.0 dB, crosstalk of –41 dB at 2.5 GHz, and off-isolation of –22 dB. ($1.15 ea/10,000 — prod qty, Nov.)
