Switch-mode driver runs at 48 V with 10 A
The Model V740 is a standalone, microstepping switch-mode motor driver
that is compatible with the company's model V540 VME/VXI quad
microstepping motor driver. The module has two bipolar, switch-mode,
constant-current motor coil drivers, output low-pass filters, and a
field-wiring barrier strip for motor windings, power input, and
limit-switch connections. The current can be set from 0.5 to 10 A using a
DIP switch. A 48-V external dc power supply is required.Motor coil and
power input fusing are provided. The V740 comes with screw-terminal
connections for power input, motor windings, limit switches, index sensor,
and spare digital inputs. Up to four modules can be mounted on can be
supported on the company's V744 rack-mount chassis. (V540, $1,200; V740,
