The VMS-160 series high-density, medically approved open-frame switching power supplies output 160 W with 200-lfm forced-air cooling or 100-W under convection-cooled conditions. They have a power density of 18 W/in.3 in a 1U 2 x 4-in. footprint with a height of 1.06 in. The power supplies are approved to both medical EN60601-1 and ITE EN60950-1 safety standards.
The switchers offer a universal input of 90 to 264 Vac and single-output voltages of 5, 12, 24, and 48 Vdc. Other features include a built-in active PFC function, 90% typical efficiency, and a 12-V auxiliary fan output.
