Astrodyne TDI has launched the ASM30 Series of embedded power supplies that deliver up to 30 W of regulated DC output. These compact switching power supplies can be used in a range of health-care, industrial equipment, and commercial electronics applications.

The ASM30 switch-mode power supplies are said to be highly efficient, with single DC outputs of 3.3, 5, 7.5, 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 36, and 48 V. They operate over a universal input voltage range of 80 to 264 VAC and 50/60 Hz frequency for use in applications worldwide.
They are certified to meet class B EMC requirements as well as the latest safety standards, including IEC 60601-1 3rd edition for medical applications and IEC 62368-1 for commercial and industrial solutions. To protect patients in medical settings, the ASM30 offers BF leakage and 2× Means of Patient Protection (2 MOPP). They are also compliant with DoE Efficiency Level VI and offer both Class I and Class II operation. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 80°C.
The ASM30 switching power supplies are available in both open-framed and enclosed profiles. They offer multiple connection options, including header and miniature terminal blocks, for ease of installation. The enclosed power supplies measure 3.25 x 2.08 x 1.2 inches (82.5 x 52.8 x 30.5 mm) and the open-frame power supplies offer dimensions of 3 x 1.6 x 0.85 inches (76.2 x 40.6 x 21.7 mm).
