Switching regulator drives 0.5-A load
The LM2574 is a 500-mA switching regulator that requires only four
external components. In addition, it uses standard inductors and is
supported by the company's “Switchers Made Simple” software. The LM2574 is
available in 5-, 12-, and 15-V versions, as well as adjustable output
versions. Each version is available in both 8-pin DIPs and 14-pin SO
packages, and in both standard (up to 40 V) and high-voltage (up to 60 V)
