Synthesized signal generator is portable
The PSG2400A synthesized signal generator covers the frequency range from
100 kHz to 2.4 GHz, providing an output level of 16/19 dBm to -143 dBm.
The generator operates from the ac line–12 or 24 Vdc–or a battery. Two
internal wideband modulation sources cover the range from 0.1 Hz to 500
kHz with either sine or square waves. This allows the user to produce
complex modulation waveforms for testing CTSS, DTMF, and SELCALL systems.
Up to 16 unique, consecutive tone bursts can be defined along with the
standard five-tone SELCALL systems. The PSG2400A's wide-modulation
bandwidth extends to dc for low-rate digital modulation applications as
well as for AM, FM, or phase modulation. The meter includes a SINAD meter,
a sweep function (frequency/level/modulation), and IEEE-488.2 interface
