The MAX31782 16-bit system management microcontroller combines six temperature measurement channels with six channels of closed-loop fan control. By monitoring multiple temperature points, the IC can implement precise zoned-cooling schemes.
The device comes in a 6 x 6-mm 40-pin TQFN package and is specified over –40° to +85°C. It has a six-channel 12-bit A/D converter with a temperature-sensing AFE for direct connection to thermal diodes with a 0.125°C resolution, (From $2.95 ea/10,000 — samples available now.)
