Tactile switches come in small size

The KMT Series tactile switches with halogen-free materials measure 2.6 x 3.0 x 0.65 mm, with a 0.45-mm body height. Featuring an integrated push plate and a ground-pin option for ESD protection, the SPST NO parts are available with gold- and silver-plating options and are specified to 150,000 electrical and mechanical life cycles.

The integrated actuator allows for simpler button design while yielding an excellent tactile ratio of 30% minimum, providing sharp feedback. Actuation force options are 1.6 N (tactile ratio 30%) for mobile devices and 1.0 N (tactile ratio 10%) for hearing aids and headsets. Operating temperature ranges from –40° to 85°C.
