TDK brochure features PSpice model for EPCOS surge arresters

Iselin, NJ, May 28, 2012 – TDK Corporation has published a new EPCOS product brief: PSpice model for surge arresters – analog behavioral model for circuit simulation.

EPCOS is the only manufacturer of surge arresters to offer simulation assistance and support for gas-filled discharge tubes (GDTs). Any surge arrester from the EPCOS product range can be entered into the PSpice model, allowing users to fit a GDT into designs early in development. Before the first prototype is built, the PSpice model allows designers to simulate any effects that may occur during normal operation, as well as the behavior of the entire circuit under surge. This can result in significant savings in costs and development time.

Applications include:

• Analog circuit simulation
• Systems design and verification
• Functional verification
• Surge simulation
