The AHP-4250 family of thermoelectric (TE) air conditioners features a cooling capacity of 3,600 BTU/h. Within the product family, the Green Zone styles have efficiencies approaching 100% and offer an Eco-Mode temperature control design that helps save energy by limiting the need for active cooling when not needed.
The thermoelectric air conditioner acts as a heat exchanger under low-demand conditions to lower total power consumption. It uses 94% less energy in the Eco-Mode mode than it does in the active-cooling mode. The Green Zone version consumes 36% less energy in the active cooling mode than the closest competing thermoelectric air conditioner. A temperature controller is built into the unit with either a cool-only TC-4F or a heat/cool TC-7F integral temperature controller. Input voltages available are 120 and 240 Vac, as well as 24 and 250 Vdc. (Contact company for price and availability.)
