DUBAI – Nov. 17, 2013 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, in conjunction with Rockford Xellerix, will present at the 1st International Council on System Engineering (INCOSE) Avionics Forum at the 2013 Dubai Airshow. Martin Cimini, Business Development Manager, TE Connectivity, Global Aerospace, Defense & Marine, will present “Connectivity in Airborne Applications” and address the many challenges engineers encounter when designing for demanding electrical and optical connectivity applications. Martin Cimini will also discuss the details of end-to-end connectivity solutions in airborne applications, including TE’s latest technology for avionics and vehicle harnessing.
INCOSE is a professional membership organization founded to develop and disseminate the interdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems engineering. There is a growing number of original equipment manufacturers that are building advanced electronics systems for airborne and ground station platforms. As a result, the INCOSE Avionics Forum will focus on presenting engaging technical talks by leading subject matter experts on the design challenges and solutions to common avionics and ground station engineering problems.
TE will have the following products on display at the Rockford Xellerix booth, stand #3245:
DEUTSCH 983 / 984 series connectors for jet engine applications – DEUTSCH connectors are built to help meet demanding MIL Spec (38999) and commercial (EN2997) standards for data, signal delivery and power distribution. DEUTSCH connectors for jet engines, like the 983 and 984 series, can function in a wide temperature range (-65 degrees C to + 260 degrees C) and under extreme vibration.
High-Speed Copper Cables – TE has answered the demand for increasing data requirements and reliable data transfer with high-speed copper cable solutions that offer improved networking performance in extreme applications.
Fiber Optics – TE’s rugged optics and fiber-optic technology provide a clean transmission path in bandwidth and capacity for the challenging environments of defense and aerospace applications.
IFE Connectors will also be on display, such as:
DEUTSCH 369 Series Connectors for use in In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems – Designed for applications where fewer contacts are needed per connector and shielding is unnecessary, the 369 Series connectors are extremely compact and lightweight with low smoke, toxicity and flammability. Full sealing helps ensure reliability in areas of high moisture.
CeeLok FAS-T Connectors – The CeeLok FAS-T connector is one of the most rugged, small, 10GB Ethernet, field terminable I/O connector in the Aerospace, Defense & Marine marketplace.
DEUTSCH Single Module EN4165 / ARINC 809 Connectors – Featuring a robust composite shell with metallization for weight saving and excellent EMI performance, these connectors are used for in-flight entertainment systems and cabin service systems.
