Test points come in broad array of colors

To simplify test-point identification on high-density 1.5- and 2.4-mm thick pc boards, Miniature, Compact, and Multi-Purpose test points are now available in brown, green, blue, purple, and gray, in addition to red, black, white, yellow, and orange packages. The devices replace wire-wrap posts and turret terminals.

Made from silver-plated phosphor bronze, Miniature types are 0.25 mm in diameter and mount in a 1.0-mm- diameter pc-board hole while Compact and Multi-Purpose types are 0.38 mm in diameter and mount in a 1.6-mm-diameter hole. The units may be used with a variety of test probes, and they maintain their position during and after wave soldering. ($30 / 100, large qty — available now.)
