The Internet of Being: an infographic on wearables

If paying for your groceries with a scan of your iris or backing up your thoughts on the cloud sounds disturbing, brace yourself, because in today's tech-dominated world, it seems like we're quickly headed in that direction. Our growing relationship with technology is becoming so intimate that we're morphing with technology — we're becoming it and it's becoming us. 

It's fair to say that wearable technology is on the rise and we've never before been this up close and personal with it. The infographic above shows wearables, such as Google Glass, the Nike FuelBand, and the Pebble smartwatch that we're already proudly sporting. If you're not, you most likely will find a few of these gadgets clinging to you in the coming years.
