The most high-tech business card you’ve ever seen

Mechanical keyboard company comes up with terrific redesign for an otherwise typical leave-behind

TechKeys, a mechanical keyboard company, may very well have just redefined the business card as we once knew it.

The card you see above is not only the company’s new leave-behind stationery; it doubles as a printed circuit board with some awesome functionality.

According to the product’s description:

This PCB with on-board re-programmable ATMEGA16U2 allows for full flexibility for hackers, tinkerers, and makers. Take home one of these as a project, keycap display, switch tester, or a shortcut to yours truly, TechKeys.us.

So, first and foremost, the card is a functioning keyboard, which is pretty cool. If you have a soldering kit and a few extra keys lying around, you can attach them to the card to serve as one-stroke shortcuts to TechKey’s website or Facebook page (the card attaches to one’s computer via standard USB connection).

The third key launches one’s default e-mail program.

And if you know your way around a PCB, you can hack the card to have it do, well, just about anything you want it to do.

For those interested in having one, but aren’t really sure when you might be swapping cards with a member of the TechKeys staff, their business card can be purchased for $12 via the TechKeys website.
