Thermal sensors suit DDR3 memory modules

Targeted at DDR2 and DDR3 memory modules, SSD, and computing motherboards, the TS3000GB2 and TSE2002GB2 digital thermal sensors support both a 3.3-V and lower-power 2.5-V SM-Bus and I2 C interface for improved system power efficiency and compatibility with both existing and emerging serial bus controllers. The TSE2002GB2 contains 256-byte EEPROM for storage of vendor information and system configuration such as serial presence detect for DIMM modules.

The devices provide ±1°C temperature-sensing accuracy over the entire temperature range of –20° to 125°C. In addition, a high-performance A/D converter enables up to 12-bit (0.0625°C) programmable resolution with industry-leading conversion time — improving precision across the full temperature range.
