Thermal sockets have pogo contactors

The 602PGA– SS-PGA27/602A-01 high-performance socket features a spring-pin (pogo) contactor with 27 g of actuation force per ball and a 500,000-insertion cycle life. Each contactor offers 1.1-nH self-inductance with 50-Ω matched impedance and 5-A current capacity.

The aluminum sockets provide heat sinking up to several watts, with custom options available. Operating temperatures are –55° to 150°C. Package configuration is specifically for testing the Kyocera PB602AUE63-1 and other 1.27-mm pitch, 35 x 35-mm PGA ICs. ($7,050 each — available now.)
