The TILE-Gx72 64-bit manycore general-purpose processor from Tilera has received the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium's highest recorded CoreMark score for a single processor: a single-socket score of 277,579. In addition, Tilera processors hold three out of the top four scores for CoreMarks/MHz.
The CoreMark benchmarks help designers select the right embedded processors for their systems. Every processor submitted for EEMBC benchmarking is tested for parameters representing different workloads and capabilities in communications, networking, automotive/industrial, and embedded Java. EEMBC members include leading semiconductor, intellectual property, and compiler vendors.
“Tilera’s processors have consistently been among the top performers in our CoreMark benchmark scores, and this latest certified result for their TILE-Gx72 is quite impressive,” said Markus Levy, president at EEMBC. “Furthermore, we are pleased to have Tilera join EEMBC as a Networking Subcommittee member and look forward to their participation in this important working group.”
Tilera’s portfolio of products includes:
• TILE-Gx processor family with devices ranging from 9, 16, 36 up to 72 cores.
• TILEncore-Gx intelligent application adapters is a family of server adapters that incorporates Tilera’s TILE-Gx manycore processors with integrated 10 to 80-Gbit/s of Ethernet I/O in a low-power PCIe form factor.
• Multicore Development Environment (MDE) is a development toolkit and runtime software that enables customers to easily port, optimize, and customize applications in an industry standard Linux/C based programming environment.
