The EC 4 brushless DC motor is only four mm in diameter. It is available in two lengths, 15.9 or 22.9 mm, with power ratings of 0.5 and 1 W. The motor runs on 3 or 6 V and will supply 0.222 or 0.431 mNm torque. No load speed varies from 29,900 to 39,800 RPM.
The motor is certified to ISO 13485 – applicable to medical applications. The 6 V, 22.9 mm long version has a torque constant of 1.78 mNm/A and a speed constant of 5,360 rpm/V. All versions of the motor can be ordered with Hall position sensors and can be combined with the GP 4 planetary gearhead.
