Housed in a QFN-24 package, the 12-bit LTC2308 A/D converter can measure eight single-ended input channels, four differential input channels, or combinations of both for digitizing multiple data acquisition signals with a single chip. The device operates on a 5-V supply and draws 17 mW at 500 ksamples/s and 35 µW in sleep mode.
In addition, the LTC2308 measures unipolar or bipolar input signals and achieves ±2-mV max zero-scale error and ±4-LSB max full-scale error. It communicates via an SPI-compatible serial interface and provides 73-dB SINAD and 88-dB THD at 1 kHz. A separate digital output supply voltage allows users to configure the serial data output for power supplies ranging from 3 to 5-V logic. ($2.95 ea/1,000available now.)
