Tiny logger records motor run-time data

For monitoring run-times of motors, pumps, compressors, and other equipment, the matchbox-size HOBO UX90 Motor On/Off Logger records up to 84,650 or 340,000 equipment on/off cycle changes, depending on model. The logger attaches to motor housings via built-in rare earth magnets, and does not require any wiring, eliminating the need for equipment lockouts.

A large LCD visually confirms logger operation and a signal strength indicator ensures proper logger placement. Separately available HOBOware graphing and analysis software, which runs on a PC or Mac, can convert the recorded data into time- and date-stamped graphs. The software’s Bulk Export tool lets users export data files to text format for use in spreadsheets and other programs. (From $85 — available now.)
