Encoder offers up to 360 lpi to improve quality of smaller printers
Measuring only 11 (L) x 13.7 (W) x 7 (H) mm, the AEDS-964x optical encoder module provides resolutions of up to 360 lpi�presented as the highest in the industry. The ultra-small, precision encoder enables improved quality and further size reductions in devices such as inkjet printers, photo printers, and all-in-one printing products.
The encoder module is used with a transmissive code strip to detect linear motion or with an 11-mm optical-radius transmissive code wheel for detecting rotary motion. The encoder offers two-channel quadrature output and is TTL 3.3- or 5.0-V CMOS compatible.
The optical design is insensitive to radial, tangential, and axial misalignment and play. Operating temperature range is 0° to 70°C. ($4.06 to $5.08 ea/1,000�available now.)
