Tiny piezo motor linear slide is fast, accurate
Simply constructed four-part device yields 2-mm travel and submicron resolution
The P-653 piezo motor linear slide is significantly smaller than other available linear stages and provides higher resolution and velocity. The true linear motor system consists of only four parts, is only 8.0 mm long, has a travel range of 2 mm, and can move full stroke in less than 50 ms.
It features 5-V operation, submicron resolution, and a holding force of 0.15 N (0.5 oz). Motion is controlled by TTL voltage pulses, and the self-adjusting driver creates the high-frequency nanometer-level oscillations (~500 kHz) that make the ultrasonic ceramic motor move.
