Tiny quad ADC µModule is highly integrated
The LTM9012 quad 14-bit, 125-Msamples/s μModule A/D converter integrates fixed gain drivers, passive filtering, and bypass capacitance — enabling reduction in board space for high-channel-count applications as diverse as medical imaging systems and MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) 4G base stations. Equivalent implementations require five devices and dozens of passive components compared to the LTM9012 in an easy-to-use 15 x 11.25-mm BGA μModule package.
With 20 dB of gain, the part achieves an SNR of 68.3dB, and SFDR of 78 dB, while power consumption is 318 mW per channel. Dc specs include ±1.2-LSB INL typ, ±0.3-LSB DNL typ, and no missing codes over temperature.
It also includes shutdown and nap modes and operates at 1.8 V for the ADC core and 3.3 V for the amplifiers. It supports serial LVDS outputs: 1 or 2 bits per channel. ($149 ea/1,000 — available now.)
