Tiny RTCs offer accuracy of ±3 ppm max

The RV-3029-C2 and RV-3049-C2 real-time clocks (RTCs) feature an embedded 32.768-kHz crystal and integrated temperature compensation in a 5 x 3.2 x 1.2-mm ceramic package. At room temperature, the RTCs achieve a time-keeping accuracy of ±3 ppm max, equal to a time deviation of less than 2 s per week. Over a temperature range of 0° to 50°C, the frequency deviation is still within ±5 ppm max.

Additional features include a current consumption of 850 μA typ. The RV-3029-C2 communicates on an I2 C bus, while the RV-3049-C2 on a four-wire SPI bus. (Call Alexander Schmoldt for pricing — available now.)
