Tool evaluates system timing alternatives

TimingDesigner system design tool can evaluate comprehensive sets of timing alternatives and provide direction for the most complex of timing challenges, and allows designers to monitor margins throughout the design process. Version 9.0 features kits with timing diagrams and libraries for commonly used parts and interface protocol standards, plus program updates for the latest operating systems.

Kits are offered for processors from Intel and Freescale, various memory such as DDR2 and flash, and interfaces such as PCI-Express and USB. The tool now has configurable tool bars, standard spreadsheet operations, and resizable dialog boxes, along with drag and drop of TDML files and PDF export capability. ($3,000 to $5,000 per seat—available July.)
