Tools aid T9000 development
Prototypes of the HSI-SBus T9000 development kit are available for the
Sun Sparcstation. The single-slot SBus board can be configured with 4 or 8
Mbytes of memory and can also be used as a single-node transputer. The
board provides sustained 30-Mbyte/s transfers between the SBus and the
transputer, and up to 50-Mbyte/s transfers through the four transputer
links. External link connections are differentially driven through modular
jacks and standard twisted-pair cabling for distances up to 50 ft. The
HSI-SBus includes drivers and servers for C, Fortran, and C++ compilers,
debuggers, and utilities. ($3,995–3 to 4 weeks ARO.) Alta Technology,
