Tools for Verilog HDL
designers
Three new tools for Verilog HDL designers are available. Magellan is
a graphic debugging and simulation environment for Verilog HDL with
a full graphic front-end for Verilog XL. VERIX accepts behavioral
and structural Verilog HDL circuit descriptions and libraries for
accelerated simulation using Zycad's XP family of accelerators.
PowerSim dynamically computes the energy a circuit consumes and how
circuit activity and process parameter variations change power
consumption. All the tools run on Sun workstations. (Magellan,
$1,995–available now; VERIX, $28,500–available in June; PowerSim,
$18, 500–available now.)
