Touch display can be networked

Comprising a 512 x 256-pixel EL display and an infrared touch panel with
a 32X x 16Y matrix, the Touch Information Display (TID) is available with
a networking option. The panel includes FPGA technology, eight pages of
downloadable memory, a sealed front bezel, and a screen-saver mode for
longer display life. An RS-232/422/485 port and resident diagnostic and
maintenance routines are also standard features. The network board allows
a PC to interact with up to 31 TIDs connected via STP cables. The board
plugs directly into the PC and all interactions take place at 172 kbaud.
(TID, $1,600; network board, $250–stock to 4 weeks.) Electro Mechanical
