The TPS563200 is a simple, easy-to-use, 3 A synchronous step-down (buck) converter in SOT-23 package.
This device is specially optimized to operate with minimum external component counts and also optimized to achieve low standby current. A switch mode power supply (SMPS) device, it employs D-CAP2 mode control with 650-kHz switching frequency. This mode provides a fast transient response and supports both low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as specialty polymer and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors with no external compensation components.
The TPS563200 has an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 17 V and an output voltage range of 0.76 V to 7 V. It has integrated 68-mΩ and 39-mΩ FETs and operates in Advanced Eco-mode, which maintains high efficiency during light load operation. The TPS563200 is available in a 6-pin, 1.6-by-2.9-mm SOT (DDC) package, and specified from –40°C to 85°C of ambient temperature.
Applications for the TPS563200 range from digital TV power supply and high-definition Blu-Ray Disc™ players to networking home terminal and digital set top box.
