Transceiver has 2.5-kV galvanic isolation

The CHT-RHEA is a single-chip dual-channel full-duplex transceiver with galvanic isolation of 2.5 kV and reliable operation from –55° to 225°C. The magnetic isolation on each channel is accomplished with an external 0.24-in.-diameter pulse transformer.

The ceramic SOIC28 packaged chip can handle data rate of 2 Mbits/s, with transmission delays and jitter respectively less than 100 ns and 25 ns over the full chain. The device modulation scheme and the transformer design provides immunity to dV/dt, as high as 50 kV/µs. Two devices are used to provide full isolation. (298€ ea/sample price — samples 1st qtr.)
