Systems, an Infinite Electronics, has launched a line of Ethernet cable assemblies to complement its data surge protection and NEMA-rated enclosures. Together, they provide customers with a single source for complete Ethernet surge protection solutions, said Transtector.
The new product line includes Cat5e and Cat6a cables in a range of configurations, with different flexibility and shielding options. Cable lengths range from 1 foot to 250 feet, providing solutions from long background cable runs to short in-panel jumpers.
Options for the new Ethernet cable assemblies include:
- Cat5e and Cat6a with TIA-1096 standard RJ45 connectors
- Double-shielded or foil-shielded
- Indoor/outdoor-rated
- Industrial jacket for oil, UV, chemical, water resistance (based on configuration)
- Low-smoke, zero-halogen jacket available
- Range of PoE length ratings
- Burn rating options to meet specific code requirements

In addition to use with PoE devices, these new cables are suited for all types of data/Ethernet applications, including PLC/PC controls, WLAN amplifiers, transportation and antenna systems, industrial installations, and premise wiring. The Ethernet cables are in-stock for same-day shipping.
Transtector also released a line of PoE Injectors. The PoE injectors deliver power to distant devices via Ethernet cables, eliminating the need for a power source at the device, said the company, helping streamline the deployment of remote security cameras, traffic cameras, pole-mounted access points, IP phones, and other Ethernet devices. The PoE injector product family includes 24 configurations with a wide range of options.
