Triple-output LED driver drives up to 30 LEDs

The LT3492 LED driver is designed to operate as a three-channel constant-current LED driver. Each of the device’s three channels can drive up to ten 300-mA LEDs in series, enabling it to drive up to 30 300-mA LEDs at efficiencies up to 96%.

Features include a 3,000:1 True Color PWM dimming, an input voltage range from 3 to 30 V, an adjustable frequency from 330 kHz to 2.1 MHz, and a transient protection to 40 V. A CTRL pin accurately sets LED current-sense threshold over a range of 10 to 100 mV. Housed in 28-lead QFN and TSSOP packages, the part also features open LED protection and thermal limiting.
