Triple processor IP suite yields efficient video

The Mali media IP suite includes the Mali-T860 GPU, the Mali-V550 video accelerator, and the Mali-DP550 display processor. The suite is designed to efficiently deliver extremely rich video content. The trio is said to enable distributed processing that ensures graphically-intensive content is assigned to the most appropriate processor.

The Mali-V550 and Mali-DP550 processors feature Motion Search Elimination technology that reduces bandwidth by up to 35%. The Mali-T860 GPU has a configurable 256k-2048k byte L2, and is scalable from one to sixteen cores. It runs at 695 MHz on a 24 nm process, for up to 1390 Mtri/s, 11.2 Gpix/s and includes new features and optimizations within its micro-architecture, including quad prioritization and improved Early Z test throughput. Mali-T820 and Mali-T830 GPU IP are also available.
