Ultra-broadband inductors work up to 40 GHz

The GLM and GLN ultra-broadband SMT inductors are unique components that provide extremely low insertion loss and excellent matching over multiple octaves of the frequency spectrum. The GLM comes in 0.47 to 3.80 µH with a 9.5 to 1.1-MHz operating frequency, current ratings from 815 to 182 mA, and size of 0.127 x 0.080 x 0.105 in. All versions have a –3-dB roll-off through 40+ GHz typ.

The inductors have insertion loss (shunt mounted) of ≤0.4 or 0.5 dB typ. The  GLN parts come in five values from 1.47 to 10.7 µH and is larger at 0.245 x 0.133 x 0.117 in. with operating frequency from 2.8 MHz to 400 kHz and current ratings of 694 to 150 mA.
